Frequently Asked Questions

What size of business do you work with?
Generally I work with sole traders and small to medium sized businesses. However, I also have clients with many hundreds of employees where I deliver training across the organisation, helping to improve effectiveness of website content and use of social media communications.

How much support does someone typically need?

Obviously that depends on a number of factors, but I aim to get people up to a stage they’re fairly self-reliant in under 6 months.

Support is paid for, in blocks of time, then delivered when and according to need.

This aspect would be fully discussed before embarking on any project, to ensure there’s a clear understanding of the level of support you’ll need.

What experience do you have as a trainer?
Over the past 4 years I have delivered probably around 100 day-long workshops on a variety of topics. I am currently a regular trainer on behalf of the eBusiness club, having written and delivered:

  • ‘Planning a successful website’
  • ‘Working with WordPress’
  • ‘Developing effective web content’
  • ‘Website DIY’

I’ve also delivered workshops on ‘Social media for the bemused, confused and unenthused’, ‘Blogging for business’ and ‘Effective story telling for business’.

How much do you charge?
That all depends on what the client wants and the time involved to deliver. I don’t have rigid prices, or ‘gold’ and ‘silver’ packages because I don’t deliver such rigid solutions.

I can audit your website and deliver a consultation on ‘best practice’ website design and development for a cost starting at £125.00 + VAT. If you have a large website, obviously it will take more time to do the work and therefore the cost will be somewhat higher.

If you want information on how much it would cost to work with me on a website development and training programme, please get in touch so we can discuss your individual requirements.
